Somerset, N.J. – Due to the increased tariffs against China, Kas Rugs said it has made the “difficult decision” to drop all collections that are imported from China.
These include the Bliss, Harbor and Roxy lines.
“The 170-176% tariff burden is not a viable solution for Kas and also in terms of product value,” said President Kranthi Yarlagadda in a statement.
The company said the current stock of its Bliss, Harbor and Roxy rugs will be available until they are sold out at full price, which reflects the 20% tariffs implemented earlier this year.
For the company’s products from India and Turkey, it is working with supply chain partners to minimize the impact of the new 10% tariff.
The Kas Rugs showroom in High Point can be found at IHFC G-270.
